Application Process

Step 1 | Submit Application

Step 2 | Grade-Level and Enrollment Requirements

  • 10th-Grade Applicants: In addition to submitting an application, students must also complete a transfer form at a BPS Welcome Center by March 1. Both steps are required to be considered.
  • 11th- and 12th-Grade Applicants: Only students currently enrolled in a state-approved Chapter 74 program at another school are eligible to apply.
  • Late Applications: Applications submitted after March 1 may only be considered if seats become available and may be included in a subsequent lottery.
  • Out-of-District Students: Definition: Students who live in the City of Boston but currently attend charter schools, private schools, or independent schools. These students must enroll with Boston Public Schools at a local Welcome Center to ensure eligibility for Madison Park Technical Vocational High School.

Step 3 | Select Madison Park as First Preference

On the Boston Public Schools Choice form, students must select Madison Park Technical Vocational High School as their first preference if it truly is their preference.

Reminder | Verify Your Application Is Complete

The application is complete when both the Madison Park Technical Vocational High School application and the Boston Public Schools Choice form are submitted. Only then will students be considered for admission to Madison Park Technical Vocational High School.
