Students recently brought August Wilson’s Fences to life with powerful performances and unforgettable stage presence. From the first scene, our talented actors fully embodied their characters and lit the room with emotion and depth. The set—complete with a hand-built fence—beautifully captured the spirit of Wilson’s world.
Throughout the unit, students explored the play’s literal and figurative barriers, examined meaningful contrasts and contradictions, and concluded with a thought-provoking final debate that showcased their insight and critical thinking.
Bravo to everyone involved—you made the story sing on stage and in the classroom!
